A half-day online workshop specifically designed for People Managers overseeing Designers or Creatives, focusing on sharpening leadership skills with the nuances of managing diverse, remote and/or hybrid teams.

Participants will gain the insights to recognise when to manage and when to lead, understand their leadership style, navigate team development stages and foster increased self and team awareness. Learn the art of effective coaching, grasp the basics of delegation, and acquire the skills to plan and attend productive meetings. Ideal for both first-time and experienced managers.

Who Should Attend

People Managers who manage designers or creatives in a remote or hybrid environment, whether you are a first-time or an experienced people manager.

Participants should currently have direct reports, i.e. people reporting to them, to get the most from this programme.

Programme Objectives and What You Will Take Away

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the stages of team development in a diverse and/or remote team and what an effective team leader should do at each stage.
  • Develop increased self and team awareness and understand how to manage difficult situations in remote and diverse teams.
  • Explain why it is important for you as a leader of a remote or hybrid team to take a strategic approach, to setting your team up for success in a remote or hybrid working environment.
  • Determine how best to approach remote working in your organisation based on the diversity of your team, individuals and your needs at work.
  • Apply what you have learned during this workshop with the support tools to develop a plan to sustain an effective remote working model for diverse teams.
  • How to get the best out of your creative teams remotely by understanding how diverse & remote teams can be cohesive and effectively supported through strong leadership of Trust and Psychological Safety.

What you will Experience

This workshop will focus on sharpening leadership skills to support managers with the nuances of managing diverse, remote and/or hybrid teams.

Throughout the workshop, participants will gain valuable insights into optimising the performance of creative teams in remote settings, understanding the crucial elements of cohesive and effective team dynamics, including leadership, trust, and psychological safety.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped to discern when to manage and when to lead, adapt their leadership style accordingly, comprehend team development stages, and enhance self and team awareness.
